WOMAD Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

The world-music festival founded by Peter Gabriel holds its Canary edition every November, free and open-air, in Santa Catalina.

WOMAD (World of Music, Arts and Dance), the festival created by Peter Gabriel, has its longest-running Spanish edition in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria: held since 1993, it passed thirty editions in 2023. It is free and concentrated in Parque de Santa Catalina, with the main stage in Plaza de la Música and several smaller stages, plus a global market, children's workshops and a film programme.

It usually takes place in the second week of November, Thursday to Sunday, with concerts in the afternoon and evening. Dates and line-up are announced by WOMAD España; as soon as they are confirmed the concerts appear in this agenda. In the meantime, the rest of the city's live music is in what's on in Las Palmas.
