What to do in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
The city's cultural agenda, event by event: concerts, theatre, opera, dance, comedy, free shows and festivals, with dates, venues and official tickets.
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has a year-round cultural calendar out of proportion to its size: a symphony orchestra and an opera season at the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus and the Teatro Pérez Galdós, national theatre tours at the Teatro Cuyás, jazz, flamenco and world music in small venues, and street festivals in Vegueta and around Parque de Santa Catalina, most of them free. The weather lets almost all of it happen outdoors from October to May.
This page lists every confirmed event in the city and nearby towns, soonest first. The today and this weekend pages narrow it down; the Carnival and WOMAD guides cover the two biggest dates of the year. Each event links to its page with venue, address and official ticket office (in Spanish).

Frequently asked questions
What is there to do in Las Palmas in the evening?
Concerts and theatre start between 19:00 and 20:30; the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus, the Teatro Pérez Galdós and the Teatro Cuyás are the main stages. Afterwards, Vegueta (tapas in calles Mendizábal and La Pelota, Thursdays especially), Triana and the Mercado del Puerto near Santa Catalina stay open late.
Are there free events in Las Palmas?
Many: open-air concerts in Plaza de Santa Ana and Parque de Santa Catalina, Filmoteca screenings at the Teatro Guiniguada, neighbourhood fiestas and the WOMAD festival in November. Events marked "Free entry" in the list cost nothing; seating is usually first come, first served.
How do I buy tickets?
Each event page links to the venue's official box office (janto or the theatre's own site). There is no mark-up: this site does not sell tickets.
